What a fantastic day to head out to the beautiful Barossa Valley and spend some creative time with a lovely group of people.
This was the second Paint and Plonk event at Peter Lehmann Wines.
This time the theme was birds. The kookaburra painting was for the family of kookaburras on the property (there was even one sitting on the sign as I arrived!). Willie wagtails are also found in the area so they made a nice addition to the wine painting featuring a bottle from the Art ‘n’ Soul collection.
This is the first in a series of Paint and Plonk events at Peter Lehmann Wines in the Barossa Valley. Everyone enjoyed their fantastic wine along with delicious platters.
We used Derivan Matisse artist quality acrylic inks to create splashy wine glasses and fun jazz dancers.
Everyone had the opportunity to personalise their artworks to make their masterpieces very individual.
Every year The Journey Studio’s Art Group celebrates Christmas together with a shared lunch, Kris Kringle presents and lots of laughs and wine.
It’s always a good time to get a bit silly before we take a break over the holiday period.

There was definitely a lot of colour with splashes of metallic ink for some bling!
Today we were in Adelaide for a private party to celebrate Jade’s upcoming wedding with a Hens High Tea and Paint & Plonk. As usual we used Derivan Matisse artist quality inks with step-by-step tutorials.
The paintings selected were a hen and The Statue of David for something a little bit cheeky. There is plenty of room for interpretation which made for some quirky David paintings.
What a fun group. You all did amazing work.
It was a cold and wet spring day here in Clare but at Eldredge Wines we had the heaters on keeping us warm and fantastic views with a few visiting kangaroos. The wine was flowing with delicious food and lots of fun and laughs.
Today was a surprise Paint & Plonk event for Liz with a gorgeous bunch of ladies visiting for the day.
We started with peacocks for the first painting and then moved onto Liz’s dog Minx.
What a fantastic day we had at the Sevenhill Hotel in their cellar (surrounded by Clare Valley wine) painting flowers and magpies for our spring themed Paint and Plonk.
Step by step tutorials were provided by and as always we used artist quality Derivan Matisse Acrylic Inks.
Everyone enjoyed drinks and fantastic food with their painting to help the creativity flow.
We’ve had a fantastic time travelling to Sydney so I could be a part of the Derivan Open Day as one of the demonstrating artists. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet the staff, other artists and visitors.
It’s nice to know that the products I love so much are not only Australian made and owned but use environmentally friendly practices when making their products
I even had a little bit of time to catch up with Picasso!
The official opening of ‘A Love Affair of all things Fowl’ had a great turnout and the food and drinks were amazing.
This is an exhibition featuring chickens, chooks and roosters in memory of Nancy Barry, a sweet old chook and local icon.
The artworks have been created by members of The Journey Studio Art Group.
A huge thanks to Wild Saffron for hosting the exhibition and supplying the delicious food.
What a wonderful, fun group of people who came along today to my acrylic ink workshop, Coffee, Cake & Creativity, to try out Derivan Matisse inks at the Watervale General Store.
What a fantastic venue! Great atmosphere and the cakes on offer were divine.
As for the creativity, everyone did an amazing job.
