The Journey Studio’s Art Group Christmas Party at The Olive Bus was a bit chilly this year with the temperature well below what is expected in an Australian summer. The hot chocolates were a hit though to keep us warm while we enjoyed their delicious food.
Each year we do a Kris Kringle and share a lot of laughs.
Art group resumes on 1 February 2021. For more information email email@example.com
Unfortunately, due to the need to practice Social Distancing in the community, we have decided to cancel ALL upcoming events for the foreseeable future. This includes our weekly art group.
The world will be a different place when we’re on the other side of this virus. Keep safe everyone – keep your distance – wash your hands.
It’s not often we get such a special visitor to art group in an evening.
Merlo the cat kept us entertained with his antics while we painted and chatted.
He loved the peacock feathers and even tried moving brushes around in the paint water.
What a cutie!
Every year The Journey Studio’s Art Group celebrates Christmas together with a shared lunch, Kris Kringle presents and lots of laughs and wine.
It’s always a good time to get a bit silly before we take a break over the holiday period.
Merry Christmas everyone!
The Journey Studio’s art group are holding an exhibition for SALA titled ‘Mini to Massive’ which will run for the whole of August.
The official opening will be held on Saturday 1st August at 2pm at Vine Art Studio and Gallery at Leasingham. There will be nibbles and some fantastic local wine generously donated by Claymore Wines.
The art group have worked together dividing up images into smaller (mini) sections to make some interesting artworks made up of various styles and interpretations to recreate the original picture. Along with these three collaborations there will also be individual pieces of various styles and subject including jewellery from two of our talented members.
